Twenty-one questions we're asked most about the luxury Char Dham Yatra.
The Char Dham Yatra opens around Akshaya Tritiya (late April / early May) and closes near Diwali. The best windows for a premium Char Dham tour package are May–June and September–October, when weather is stable, roads are clear and luxury hotels are at their best.
Yes. Uttarakhand government registration (Tourist Care / Char Dham Yatra registration) is compulsory for every traveller. Krxnch Travels completes registration for all guests on your booking, along with photo ID and health declaration formalities.
Helicopter is not included in our road-based luxury Char Dham packages, but we arrange it on request — Kedarnath shuttle heli from Phata/Sersi/Guptkashi, or a full 5N/6D helicopter Char Dham charter from Dehradun. It is quoted separately at actual cost.
Deluxe uses the best 3-star and boutique properties available at each stop. Premium uses 4-star and heritage resorts. Luxury uses 5-star wherever the route permits — Ananda in the Himalayas, Taj Rishikesh, JW Marriott Mussoorie — with the finest available lodges at high-altitude stops where 5-star does not exist.
Yes. This is one of our most requested senior-friendly journeys. We build in slower driving days, lower-altitude night halts, ponies/palki and porters at Kedarnath and Yamunotri, oxygen in every vehicle and a doctor on call throughout.
Children above five travel comfortably. We adjust trekking days, add extra rest halts, arrange child-friendly meals and provide separate or connecting rooms for families.
Days are 15–25°C and nights can drop to 2–8°C at Kedarnath and Badrinath. Rain is common in the afternoon; July–August monsoon is avoided for landslide risk. Pack layers even in peak summer.
Warm layers and a windproof jacket, comfortable trekking shoes, raincoat, sunscreen, cap, personal medication, a light daypack, cash for offerings, and your original photo ID. We send a full packing checklist after booking.
Cancellations 30+ days before departure are refunded less booking charges; 15–29 days attract 50%; under 15 days is non-refundable due to hotel and vehicle commitments. Postponement within the same season is allowed once, subject to availability.
A 30% advance confirms the booking, 40% is due 30 days before departure and the balance 10 days before travel. We accept UPI, bank transfer, credit card and international remittance for NRI travellers, and issue a GST invoice for every payment.
Completely. Do Do Dham (Kedarnath–Badrinath), Ek Dham, add Rishikesh, Haridwar Ganga Aarti, Auli or Mussoorie, extend nights, or reduce driving hours. Every private Char Dham tour we run is built around your family.
Yes. We book domestic and international flights, including business class for NRI travellers from the USA, Canada and the UK, plus premium train options to Haridwar and Dehradun.
Standard pickup is from Delhi Airport, a Delhi hotel or your residence in Delhi NCR including Gurugram and Noida. Dehradun and Haridwar pickups are also available at an adjusted price.
The journey ends with a drop at Delhi Airport, railway station or your Delhi NCR residence on Day 11. We schedule the drop around your onward flight timing.
Every Krxnch Char Dham package is fully private. You get a dedicated SUV (Innova Crysta / Fortuner class) or Tempo Traveller with an experienced hill driver — no strangers, no fixed group departures.
We provide VIP darshan assistance and priest coordination at all four dhams wherever the temple committee permits. Special puja, abhishek and aarti seating are arranged in advance; official VIP tickets are charged at actuals.
It is a 16 km trek from Gaurikund at roughly 3,583 m. We arrange ponies, palki or helicopter for guests who prefer not to walk, and schedule an acclimatisation night at Guptkashi before the ascent.
Yes. Portable oxygen is carried in every vehicle, a first-aid kit travels with the group, and our 24×7 control room can connect you to a doctor or arrange evacuation support at any point on the route.
Only a valid passport and OCI/visa. We handle registration, arrange airport transfers, keep an India-based emergency contact for your family abroad and coordinate over WhatsApp across time zones.
A Deluxe 11-day private Char Dham tour typically starts around ₹68,000 per person, Premium around ₹1,05,000 and Luxury around ₹1,85,000, based on two travellers sharing. Final pricing depends on season, hotel category and group size — request a free quote for exact figures.
Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended for a high-altitude pilgrimage. We can arrange a suitable policy for Indian and NRI travellers on request.
All prices shown are indicative starting points, quoted per person on twin sharing, and are not a guaranteed or final price. Actual cost depends on travel dates, availability, hotel category, group size, airline fares and applicable taxes at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change until a written confirmation and invoice are issued. Government taxes, GST and TCS apply as per prevailing Indian law.
